Today we have launched our New Zealand Info Directory under new-zealand-info.co.nz domain name. Users of Google.co.nz will benefit most as our directory covers New Zealand domain names only. Directory will grow as we discover more .nz web sites

February is launch of our Canada Info Directory. Currently there is over 100,000 domains in the database but it will grow slowly as we discover more .ca sites

Browsing the Internet while on the move is very useful and beats boredom while standing in the queues. Cellphones come with bundled browsers but lots of them does not work very well creating frustrating experience and some sites can't be accessed at all. If your cellphone does support Java then you can download free web browser Opera Mini. It works very well as page that you're accessing is formatted for that browser so font and images are resized for optimum viewing pleasure

Google Application Engine is a great service for developers. It's free until you exceed generous quota and it uses Python for application development. It can scale to millions of users if your code does not have datastore bottlenecks. You can use framework like Django on top of it but not PHP. Our solution is Python Server Pages which is lightweight framework and works very much like PHP but with embedded Python code. Our online auctions solution is up and running. The system was developed using open source platform. The server is running Linux with Apache, MySQL, PHP and Python. AJAX Javascript techniques are used to refresh pages and web service calls are handled by Python server pages. Our business model is to charge only for auctions which have verified bids therefore system is free to use if your auction does not get any bids
